Sentinel Space today announced the launch of SIMULACRUM, a high-fidelity digital twin environment purpose-built for evaluating autonomous satellite constellation behavior under realistic operational conditions.

SIMULACRUM enables operators and program managers to test how their constellation handles conjunction cascades, sensor anomalies, electronic warfare, and other contested scenarios — before any hardware reaches orbit. The environment uses physics-based sensor models with realistic detection curves, noise characteristics, and environmental conditions.

Key capabilities include simulation of 10 to 1,000+ satellites with realistic communication delays and orbital mechanics, a configurable scenario library spanning 20+ event categories, time-compressed operations that condense weeks of orbital activity into hours, and deterministic replay for analysis and regression testing.

"You shouldn't have to wait until orbit to find out how your constellation handles the worst day," said Michael Knight, founder of Sentinel Space. "SIMULACRUM lets you prove it works before it flies."

The simulation environment supports automated regression campaigns that validate classification accuracy and response behavior across every event category. SIMULACRUM is available for demonstration and evaluation immediately.

About Sentinel Space

Sentinel Space builds autonomous coordination software for proliferated satellite constellations. Its flagship products — SYNAPSE and SIMULACRUM — distribute execution authority from centralized ground command to the orbital edge, enabling constellation-scale operations without ground dependency.
