When communication links are unavailable — whether denied, degraded, or simply out of range — when latency exceeds decision windows, when the number of satellites outpaces the number of operators — the system needs to act on its own. Not as a collection of independent machines, but as a coordinated fleet with shared awareness and distributed authority.

Sentinel Space builds the software that makes this possible. SYNAPSE is a distributed coordination engine that embeds autonomous decision-making capability aboard each satellite in the constellation. Every node classifies events independently, reaches consensus with its neighbors through encrypted mesh networking, and executes mission-appropriate responses — all without ground intervention.
